ReStore

Donate home-improvement items to the ReStore to help us cover our administrative expenses at Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity so that the most of each dollar donated will go to helping build homes and families. The ReStore also accepts donations of good used furniture to support the Furniture Project.

Alternative Gift Giving

Give the gift people appreciate receiving! Ties lie on shelves and flowers wilt, but a donation to Habitat provides a lasting gift to others. Offer a gift from the heart for the next birthday, anniversary, or wedding on your calendar and help build a home. A gift from the heart donation can also serve as a meaningful memorial gift for your loved one. For each “A Gift from the Heart” donation, we’ll send a card to the recipient of your choice along with a story of a family their gift is supporting.

Cans For Habitat

Since its inception, the Cans for Habitat recycling program has proven to be extremely worthwhile for local affiliates. It raises money, increases awareness of Habitat within the community, builds lists of donors, gives children a way to become involved with Habitat, all while helping the environment. Donate your redeemable plastic and aluminum cans by dropping them off to the Can Shed at our office and ReStore location.

You can also set up a Cans for Habitat bin at your meeting or workplace and donate your redeemable aluminum cans and plastic bottles to Habitat. We will give you all the the supplies, and we'll also pick your cans up weekly, monthly, or whenever is most convenient for you.

Cars for Homes

Do you have an older car, truck, van, trailer, RV or boat taking up valuable space in your yard?

Your car donation will support Habitat for Humanity’s local and global mission of eliminating poverty housing and homelessness and save you the time and energy of finding a buyer. By donating a car to our vehicle donation program, you can help Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity build houses in partnership with families in need of a hand up, not a hand out.

It is quick and easy to donate cars, trucks, boats, RVs, motorcycles, construction equipment and other vehicles ~ running or not! Not only will your donated vehicle benefit our affiliate, but you will help eliminate waste in the landfill and even receive a tax deduction (consult your tax advisor or the IRS for details.)

If you have a vehicle you’d like to donate to Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity, please call us at 319.337.8949 with the make, model, VIN, and current mileage. Depending on the type of vehicle and the condition it's in, we may be able to use it at IVHFH. However, if we don't find a good use for it here at our affiliate, we'll give you instructions on how to quickly and easily donate it Cars for Homes - Habitat’s official car donation program,

Legacy Builder
