The ReStore is a 5,000 square foot treasure chest filled with new and used building and housing materials. Anyone, regardless of income, can purchase materials (anything from paint and nails to cabinets and appliances) all at affordable prices. Maybe someone else in the Iowa City area has donated just what you need to complete the project you’re working on now. All you need to do is come in and take a look around.

With this service, our community benefits in several ways. One, ReStore’s proceeds support Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity. Two, with a little carpentry skill, everyone can have a home or business to admire. And three, our services essentially recycle materials that might have otherwise been sent to our local landfill.
