The ReStore is a 10,000 square foot treasure chest filled with new and used building and housing materials. Anyone, regardless of income, can purchase materials (anything from paint and nails to cabinets, appliances and furniture) all at affordable prices. Maybe someone else in the Iowa City area has donated just what you need to complete the project you’re working on now. All you need to do is come in and take a look around.

With this service, our community benefits in several ways. One, ReStore’s proceeds support Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity. Two, with a little carpentry skill, everyone can have a home or business to admire. And three, our services essentially recycle materials that might have otherwise been sent to our local landfill.

Pickups Available!

Pickups can be arranged for Saturdays, but please let staff know if you need other arrangements so that we can work on accommodating your schedule. Please allow for at least one week notice. Call the ReStore with any questions at (319) 338-5687.

Volunteer in the ReStore

The ReStore is a great place to volunteer. We have an array of jobs, from helping with donations, interracting with customers, and assisting with store projects. You can sign up for a ReStore volunteer shift online or contact Ashley at ashley@iowavalleyhabitat.org
