ReStore Partnerships

In addition to serving as a supporting program of Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity, the Habitat ReStore works with the Greater Iowa City community to keep usable items out of the landfill and to help keep our local environment remaining healthy and clean. In a time where protecting our environment is becoming a serious concern for many, the ReStore is a perfect example of reusing and recycling. By partnering with other organizations, the ReStore can make a bigger difference and impact more people in our community.

• We manage the City of Iowa City's Furniture Project to keep good, clean furniture out of the landfill and into the homes of needy families.
• We manage the East Side Recycling Center to assist the community with recycling and to assist in educating them about the environment.
