Paying It Forward

Since Habitat for Humanity is a global partnership, each affiliate is expected to contribute a tithe of at least 10% of its cash contributions to Habitat's international work. Roughly speaking, for every home that we build in our community, we can build 1-2 homes in developing countries through the tithing program thanks to your donations. Each donation we receive has a lasting impact, locally and globally. We aim to make your dollar stretch even further, providing the most impact to the most families.

Helping locally and beyond

Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity has tithed to several countries including Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Gayana, and Ghana. In all, we have tithed over $294,000 since our inception, helping 93 families -- deserving children and their parents -- from third-world counties into safe and secure homes of their own.
