2010 Thrivent Builds Dedication Ceremony
Sunday, August 08
Where: 2458 Aster Ave., Iowa City
When: Sunday, August 8 at 4 p.m.
Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity will celebrate the 2010 Thrivent Builds' completion and welcome the Motasim Ali and Entisar Jafar, a Sudanese family who have lived in the United States for over five years.
The home is made possible through the Thrivent Builds program, an alliance between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has donated nearly $80,000 to build this home, the sixth the company has sponsored with the Iowa Valley Habitat affiliate. In addition, the Thrivent Builds program has funded an additional 2,000+ Habitat builds since the alliance began five years ago.
The public is invited to attend the dedication ceremony to meet the Ali/Jafar partner family and celebrate the continuation of the partnership between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity.
